The MBRC’s uniqueness within the Québec Maritime’s service cluster is defined by its R&D focused projects and its industrial research services. The MBRC completes the interface between the university establishments and the government institutions that perform more basic research, as well as the companies that develop commercial applications of its work. The MBRC carries out the implementation, the prototyping, the validation and the maturation of products and processes. Amongst the organizations within the Québec Maritime’s service cluster, the MBRC is the only liaison organization that focuses on targeted research, R&D services for companies, technology transfer and the accommodation of companies working in marine biotechnology.
